Facebook & PPC
Over the last few months, Reckless New Media has been developing The Laugh Inn comedy club website and digital marketing strategy. We are very pleased with the way the new website looks and works, it may well be one of the best looking websites we have made. As a night-time venue, providing a new type of entertainment to Chester, we established that there was a lot of opportunity to grow the profile of the Laugh Inn through social media, especially Facebook. This project is a great example of how a limited budget can generate very positive results when wisely spent on pay Per Click.
The first campaign that we ran for them was for a big Hacienda Night party that they were hosting in September. The website has an organic hit-rate of 200-ish visits per day. The majority of those visits are from people who know about the venue and are looking for the site, either by searching for some version of the name, The Laugh Inn or by visiting the website directly. Our goal was to try and increase that by about 100 high quality visitors per day, about a 50% improvement. The major requirement was that these mostly be new visitors. Using the catchment area of the club as the geographical limit of our campaign, we had a target audience of 180, 000 Facebook users over the age of 18. The average cost of a click in this area was only £0.62 and as a result, the targeted visitor numbers would not be very expensive at all. The campaign was very successful, after running for one month and spending £900, 120,000 of the possible 180,000 target audience had seen the advert and been exposed to the client’s brand. The click through rate was good delivering 80 to 120 new visitors per day for the duration of the campaign.
The proof of the pudding is ultimately in the eating. regardless of the figures we could present on paper, the client would not be satisfied unless they had a good result at the doors. A regular night at The Laugh Inn has 200 patrons. For the Hacienda event, the door count was 600, just below the venue’s capacity. The evidence of the success and effectiveness of Facebook marketing was clear for all to see in black ink, a very profitable with excellent ROI.
Subsequently we have been running continuous Xmas and weekend campaigns which do generate slightly less traffic but are also very profitable. We would be very pleased to have a look at your business position regarding on-line marketing and help you to realise its potential.
